The Web Serial API connects the browser to the board via USB. Works in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox (151+) on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Requirement: USB-Serial driver.
Clones with CH340 chip need a driver:
Verify: Device Manager → Ports (COM & LPT).
Usually recognizes CH340 and CP2102 automatically.
Verify:
ls /dev/tty.*
Built-in driver. Needs dialout permission:
sudo usermod -a -G dialout $USER
Then log out and back in.
